Superconducting niobium TE011 mode cavities with high critical magnetic field and high Q value☆

AbstractA niobium TE011 X-band cavity that has not had any heat treatment, but has only been electropolished and provided with an anodic oxide film shows a Q value of 2.4 × 1010 just below a critical magnetic flux density of 118 mT. No degradation was observed after exposure of the cavity to air.
