Health risk assessment of selected pesticide residues in green pepper and cucumber

Highlights•Green peppers and cucumbers were analysed for 170 pesticides by QuEChERS-LC-MS/MS.•The method was validated according to the European SANTE/11945/2015 Guideline.•Pesticide residues were detected in 12.9% of peppers and 13.5% of cucumbers.•The levels were below the EU MRLs.•Propamocarb and chlorpyrifos were the major contributors to hazard index.

Quantitation of aflatoxins in pistachios and groundnuts using HPLC-FLD method

Highlights•We determined presence and levels of AFs in pistachios and groundnuts from Turkey.•AFs analyses were performed with HPLC-FLD after post-column derivatisation.•The method performance parameters were within acceptable criteria.•AFs were detected in 14.6% of pistachios and 19.2% of groundnuts analysed.

A survey on the occurrence of aflatoxin M1 in raw milk produced in Adana province of Turkey

Highlights•We determined presence and levels of AFM1 in raw milk from Turkey.•AFM1 analysis was performed with HPLC-FLD after post-column derivatisation.•The method performance parameters were within acceptable criteria.•AFM1 was detected in 30.1% of raw milk.•17% of samples exceeded the maximum limit set by EU for AFM1.
