Interplay between the potential waveform and diffusion layer dynamics determines the time-response of voltammetric detection in microchannels
Review articleOpen access
Abstract:

Highlights•A microchip is used to measure the time response of electrochemical techniques.•Potentiodynamic methods are delayed over amperometry because of diffusive relaxation.•This phenomenon dampens the behaviour of the diffusion layer at high frequencies.•This observation can be used to improve the time response of electrochemical systems.
