Abstract:
Highlights•A microchip is used to measure the time response of electrochemical techniques.•Potentiodynamic methods are delayed over amperometry because of diffusive relaxation.•This phenomenon dampens the behaviour of the diffusion layer at high frequencies.•This observation can be used to improve the time response of electrochemical systems.
