Abstract:
AbstractThe effect of the deuteron D-state on exact finite-range DWBA calculations has been studied for l = 1 transitions in two reactions: 40Ca(d, p)41Ca leading to the 2.47(32−) and 3.95 MeV(12−) levels for incident deuteron energies of 7 and 9 MeV and 16O(p, d)15O leading to the ground (12−) and 6.18 MeV (32−) states for incident proton energies of 25.52, 30 and 31.82 MeV. Spectroscopic factors have been extracted for calculations with and without a lower radial cut-off and compared to the corresponding zero-range predictions. The effect of the deuteron D-state on the j-dependence shown by the differential cross sections, analysing powers and polarizations has been investigated
