Abstract:

AbstractA dose calculating method has been developed for rapid calculation of maximum dose for various energies and patient diameters as a result of parallel opposed field arrangements. A calculating wheel has been designed for practical use. By turning the wheel to the appropriate setting one will read in the window the ratio which when multiplied by the midplane dose results in the maximum dose.
