Histochemical study of pulp healing
Review articleOpen access

AbstractThe results of this study indicate that the histochemical demonstration of glycogen gives useful evidence of pulp healing if we admit that most pulps treated with calcium hydroxide heal with new formation of dentine, whereas those treated with zinc oxide-eugenol do not.1, 2, 5 On the other hand, these results confirm the importance that glycogen scems to have in the formation of tissues with a calcified matrix.6
