Abstract:

AbstractA new method introduced by the author is applied to the analysis of radioactive decays and is compared with the conventional least-squares method. The analyses are done for data generated by computers. It is concluded that the least-squares method introduces significant errors when applied to data with low statistics, and that the new method gives good results in all cases.
