Urinary steroid profiles in gestosis syndrome

AbstractUrinary steroid profiles were studied using gas chromatography in eighteen pregnant women with EPH-gestosis. A drastic and probably aspecific decrease in urinary steroid concentrations was observed in all metabolic profiles when compared with physiological counterparts. The phenomenon seems to be strictly dependent upon the syndrome and disappears after effective therapy.
