Abstract:

Highlights•The bamboo scrimbers were successfully prepared showing high performance.•The PF resin contents and densities affected the properties of bamboo scrimbers.•The bamboo cells were densified and the glue joints formed on the cell walls.•The optimal parameter of this study was 16% PF treated at density of 1.30 g/cm3.
