Reactions between 14·7-MeV neutrons and nickel-64☆

AbstractThe reaction products of 64Ni and 14·7-MeV neutrons have been examined experimentally with a 150-kV Cockcroft-Walton accelerator. Mass assignments are made on the basis of 64Ni (n, p)64Co and 64Ni(n, α)61Fe reactions. The 61Co daughter of 61Fe was also observed, but no evidence was found for nuclides currently ascribed to the reactions: 64Ni(n, np)63Co, 64Ni(n, p)64mCo, or 64Ni(n, p)64gCo.
