Abstract:

Highlights•Triterpene-enriched extract from Alismatis Rhizoma (TEAR) was prepared and analyzed.•A 90-day subchronic study was conducted in rats to investigate the toxicity of TEAR.•No obvious treatment-related toxic responses were observed after TEAR treatment.•The no-observed-adverse-effect level for TEAR was 1440 mg/kg/d in both sexes.
