Abstract:

Highlights•Zn/ZnO dendrites are prepared by an electrodeposition and subsequent annealing route.•The annealing temperature strongly affects the molar ratio of Zn/ZnO in the product.•As-prepared products can be used as the photocatalysts for the reduction of Cr(VI).•Zn/ZnO-200 presents the strongest photocatalytic activity for the reduction of Cr(VI).
