Abstract:

Highlights•AE detection of rail crack is investigated in real noise environment of railway.•An improved method is proposed to increase the detection accuracy of crack signal.•Generation system of simulated crack signal is designed for nondestructive research.•NARX model is built to eliminate normal AE noises by Chaos theory.•The fused features are employed to suppress abnormal AE noises.
