Abstract:

AbstractThe reaction of cis-(DMPE)2Ru(CH3)2 with [(3,5-(CF3)2C6H3)4B]−[H(OEt2)2]+ afforded the ruthenium cation [(DMPE)2RuCH3]+[(3,5-(CF3)2C6H3)4B]−. This cation underwent reaction with ethylene at room temperature to give the stable adduct trans-[(DMPE)2Ru(C2H4)CH3]+[(3,5-(CF3)2C6H3)4B]−, 1. The single crystal X-ray structure of 1 is reported.
