Abstract:
Highlights•Prasugrel, compared with clopidogrel, attenuates peri-procedural increase in platelet reactivity.•A significant correlation exists between platelet reactivity and coronary microvascular function at the time of PCI.•The more profound platelet inhibition may contribute to the protective effect of prasugrel on coronary microcirculation.
